The Management team at Southern Stars has been in discussions over the last couple of days to consider the future of our 2020 show. After carefully contemplating all of our options, a decision was made that we will not be able to proceed with Southern Stars this year.

The health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff during many months of rehearsals and performances, is of utmost importance to us and figured prominently in making this decision.

We know that this will be a big disappointment to our many thousands of public school students and teachers, with a passion for performance and a love of the arts, who have been looking forward to celebrating 20 years of Southern Stars as much as we have.

All of the planning for the 2020 show will not be in vain. We will be working even harder behind the scenes to come back again in 2021 with the greatest show yet in our 20 year history!

We will be in contact with all our sponsors, media partners, schools, students and external suppliers over the next week to discuss our plans for 2021. The new show dates for 2021 are Friday 20 August and Saturday 21 August. Please put these in your calendar.
