Southern Stars
Performing Company
The Southern Stars Performing Company is a group of performers consisting of dance, drama, vocal, choir & instrumental students who are selected through an audition process for Southern Stars.

All NSW Public School students in Years 2 – 12 are eligible to apply.
Southern Stars began in 2001 with a determination to provide students in the Illawarra area and beyond with performing arts opportunities. We have certainly come a long way.
We want you, your school, your students, your community to be part of Southern Stars 2024. As an annual arena spectacular held in Wollongong at WIN Entertainment Centre for public schools, Southern Stars is open to all public schools across NSW and is an exciting showcase of dance, drama and music performed to a live orchestra by students from Year 2 to Year 12.
Since its inception in 2001, more than 55,000 public school students have been given the unforgettable opportunity to experience performing in the event. With an annual audience of around 12,000 people, Southern Stars has cemented itself as a highlight in many schools’ annual calendar.
School Applications
Applications are now open for all NSW public schools who would like to be part of this fantastic event.

All schools who wish to apply are accepted. There is no audition process for school groups.
